South Dakota Notary Acknowledgement Forms
A South Dakota notary acknowledgement form is a certificate completed by a notary public to give legal validity to the signature on a document. It is not always necessary that the signatories sign the document requiring notarization in front of the notary; however, it will be required that they can successfully prove their identity and that they are signing under their own volition. In the case of a Jurat, the unnotarized document must be signed before the notary public. Once the notary has acknowledged the identity of all parties and has recognized the signature as true and legal, they will complete the notary acknowledgement form and notarize the document by furnishing it with the official seal.
