South Dakota Notary Acknowledgement – Deputy Sheriff

The South Dakota Notary Acknowledgement for a Deputy Sheriff is used when a deputy sheriff is required to validate their signature on a document requiring notarization. Acknowledgements of deeds or other instruments made by a deputy sheriff must be completed (substantially) using the below sample text. The notary will acknowledge that the individual appeared before them as the deputy described within the instrument and whose name is supplied therein. The deputy sheriff will attest that they correctly subscribed the name of the sheriff and there own as deputy sheriff.
