Kentucky notary acknowledgement forms serve the purpose of certifying the signatures inscribed on legal documents in order for the instrument to become effective. Documents such as deeds, agreements, affidavits, and powers of attorney will require different notarial acts and, therefore, demand a specific notarial certificate. For a document to be officially acknowledged, each signing party included in the unnotarized document must personally appear before the notary public and declare that they have signed the document under free will. In almost every case, the notary will ask for a piece of identification from each signatory, unless the notary can recognize them personally. The notary’s signature, title, and serial number shall be inscribed on each notary acknowledgement form once notarization is complete.
