Minnesota Notarial Certificate – Oath or Affirmation

A verification upon oath or affirmation (or jurat) is a type of duty performed by a notary public, and documents that demand this type of act must be accompanied by a Minnesota oath or affirmation notarial certificate. This certificate, once attached to a legal instrument and signed and stamped by a notary public, could help avoid any legal complications in the future regarding the legitimacy of the signatures inscribed therein. To obtain this type of notarization, the signer(s) must appear before the notary public to sign the document and swear an oath or affirmation to the truthfulness of the document’s contents.
