Maryland Notary Acknowledgement – Attorney In Fact

A Maryland notary acknowledgement for an attorney in fact is a notarial certificate that can be applied to documents that have been executed by an individual’s (principal) attorney in fact. The attorney shall present the legal document complete with signatures to a notary public and show proof of identity. The notary will ask that the attorney acknowledge their signature, i.e., state that they did not sign under duress. Notarization is concluded once the notary completes the notary acknowledgement form.
