Maryland Notary Acknowledgement – Individual

The Maryland individual notary acknowledgement form is applicable to documents requiring an acknowledgement from individuals signing in their own right. The signing parties are not swearing to the accuracy of the document itself, but rather acknowledging that they executed it as a free act and deed. The document must be presented to a notary public with the acknowledgement certificate attached to or included in said document. The notary must know or have evidence that the person making the acknowledgement is indeed the individual who has executed the instrument. Once these notarial duties are complete, the notary can fill out the individual notary acknowledgement form.
