A Louisiana notary acknowledgement for a corporation with a seal is a form used to notarize documents that have been signed by the president (or representative) of a corporation and stamped with the corporate seal. Once completed by a notary public, this notarial certificate confirms that the corporation’s president signed the document under their own free will and affixed the official corporate seal on the document by authority of the board of directors. The president (or whichever representative that signed the document) must appear before the notary public and acknowledge their position, their signature, and the corporate seal. It may be necessary for the signing party to show the notary proper identification. It is the notary’s duty to fill in the corporation notary acknowledgement form once the signature and identity have been confirmed.
