Idaho Notary Acknowledgement Forms

The Idaho notary acknowledgement forms are devices used by a notary public to ensure the authenticity of a signature. Each acknowledgement form, or “certificate,” must be contained within or attached to the document bearing the signature being authenticated. The person demanding notarization must appear before the notary public and present both the notarial certificate and the instrument bearing their signature. After the notary examines the document to ensure no spaces are unfilled, they will confirm the identity of the signer and, if applicable, verify the individual’s authority to sign (necessary when executing a document on behalf of a separate party or entity). The signer must then state that the signature is theirs and that they gave it freely. To finalize the process, the notary will fill out the acknowledgement certificate, sign, and affix their seal next to their signature.
