The Arizona jurat is a certificate executed by a State-appointed notary public. The certificate declares that an individual has made an oath or affirmation confirming the accuracy of an affidavit which was signed before the notarial officer. This type of documentation is often necessary as it shows evidence that the signer was fully aware of the contents of the affidavit prior to providing their signature.
