A Washington Notary Acknowledgement for a Representative can be used for any individual acting on behalf of a principal or organization. An agent of the organization, or attorney in fact of a principal, will be required to present themselves before a notarial officer with the signed legal instrument and photo ID. Once the notary has ascertained that the individual is the person who provided the signature, the signatory will be required to state that they had authority to complete the legal document and that the execution of the instrument was the free and voluntary act of the party they represent. The notary will complete the form by providing their signature and official seal.
