Oklahoma Notary Acknowledgement – Representative Capacity

The Oklahoma notary acknowledgement for an individual acting in a representative capacity is the notarial certificate that must be used when a signature being acknowledged was made on behalf of a third party. The person signing may be acting as a representative for another individual (such as an attorney-in-fact) or as the partner, agent, or corporate officer of a company, partnership, or corporation. The signatory must present themselves before a notary public with a signed copy of the document, prove their identity, and affirm that they have the authority to sign as the representative of the principal. If the notary believes that everything is in order, they will fill out the notary acknowledgement, furnishing it with their signature and notary stamp or seal.
