Oklahoma Notary Acknowledgement Forms

An Oklahoma notary acknowledgement form is a certificate that a notary public completes in order to notarize the signature(s) found on a legal instrument. Notary acknowledgements are most often required when validating property transfers, such as deeds, wills, and trusts. Each person whose signature requires certification must personally appear before a notary public with the signed document in hand. If the notary does not know the individual personally, they must be shown photo identification that displays the person’s signature. Once the notary has verified the signer’s identity, they may complete the notary certificate. State law requires that the notary public affix their official stamp or embossed seal, official signature, and the commission expiration date to the notary acknowledgement form for the notarization to be valid.
