The Nevada notarial certificate for jurat of subscribing witness is a document which must be completed by a “subscribing witness” and a notary public to certify that the witness was present during the signing of the principal document. A jurat is an attestation of truthfulness on the part of the person signing a legal document. Witnesses may be required for the signing and notarization of certain documents, in which case a witness will be required to sign a notarial certificate following the completion of the initial instrument. Once the witness has provided their name, the date, and their signature, the notary public may supply their official certification.
