The Nevada notarial certificate certifying the copy of a document is used to obtain written authentication for the copy of a legal document. Residents must bring the original document, along with a copy that has the notary acknowledgement attached, and photo ID to a notary public. The notary must compare the copy to the original document. Once the individual has identified themselves and the copy has been verified, the notary will provide their signature and notary seal.
