To acknowledge (notarize) a document executed by a person acting in their own right, a Missouri individual notary acknowledgement certificate should be included at the end of said document. Once the individual has inscribed their signature on the document, they can present it to a notary public. Unless the notary can personally recognize the signatory, they will most likely ask for a piece of identification. Next, the signer must acknowledge that they inscribed their signature under free will. Once these notarial duties are complete, the notary will fill out the individual notary acknowledgement form.
