The Delaware notarial certificate (attestation of a copy of a document) is a tool used by a notary public to verify that a copied document is an accurate reproduction. A notary will make use of this certificate upon comparing an original item with a copy they produced themselves or a copy which was made under their supervision. If the notary believes that the copy is complete and accurate, they will execute the notarial certificate to certify the photocopy.
Note: A notary may not certify copies of public records or other official documents.
