The Arizona notary acknowledgement for a corporation is a certificate executed by a notary public proving that an individual has been identified as a corporate officer or agent, that they have signed a document on behalf of the corporation, and that the document was signed for the purpose stated therein. The officer or agent need not sign the document in the notary’s presence for the acknowledgement to be valid. However, the individual must appear before the notary public at the time the acknowledgement is made.
