After executing a legal instrument, a corporate member of a member-managed liability company shall include a Mississippi member-managed LLC notary acknowledgment form so the document can be notarized. The member needn’t sign the document in the notary’s presence; all signatures can be inscribed on the document beforehand. Once the document is presented to the notary public, they will ask to see a piece of identification to confirm the individual standing before them is the signatory. The member must make an acknowledgement stating they are authorized to sign the instrument and did so under free will. The notary will sign, seal, and affix their commission expiration on the certificate.
