The Connecticut notarial certificate (attestation of copy) is a record of the oath or affirmation made by an individual attesting to the correctness of a reproduced document. A notary public must confirm the identity of the custodian of the original document before having them sign the notarial certificate. Once signed, the notary shall fill out the remaining portion of the certificate and place their official seal next to their signature. This certificate shall be attached to or included in the copied document.
