Rhode Island Notary Acknowledgement – Corporation

The Rhode Island corporate notary acknowledgement is a document used to notarize the signature on a legal instrument executed by an individual on behalf of a corporation. A notary acknowledgement is used to certify the authenticity of a document’s signature and the identity of the signer. This type of certification may be required by certain transfers of property or be requested for business agreements. To have their document notarized, the signer will need to bring the signed document before a notary public and state upon which authority they represent the corporation. Furthermore, the individual must either be known to the notary or present photo identification to prove their identity. Once the signer’s identity and signature have been verified, the notary may fill out and sign the notary acknowledgement form.
