To obtain notarization of a legal document signed by a partner (of a partnership), one must attach to the document a Missouri partnership notary acknowledgement form. This form is a type of notarial certificate specifically used for notarizing an instrument executed by a partner on behalf of a partnership. The document (with the acknowledgement form attached) must be presented to a Missouri notarial officer, and the partner must personally appear before them. The notary will confirm the signer’s identity and take their verbal acknowledgement (declaration of signing the document under free will). With these duties out of the way, the notary public will fill out the partnership acknowledgement form, and inscribe their signature and affix their seal thereto.
