Michigan Notary Acknowledgement – Individual

A Michigan notary acknowledgement for an individual is a certificate attached to or included in a legal document requiring notarization. The individual who has signed the document must personally appear before a notary public and, if necessary, produce a piece of identification. The notary will ask that the signatory acknowledge that they signed the instrument on their own accord. The notaries signature and stamp (not obligatory) mark the document as officially acknowledged.
