North Carolina Notary Certificate – Verification of Non-Subscribing Witness

The North Carolina notarial certificate for the verification of a non-subscribing witness is a document which a notary public must fill out in order to verify the identity of a non-subscribing witness for the principal signatory of a legal instrument. A non-subscribing witness is an individual who has not witnessed the signing of a document but will vouch for the authenticity of the signature. The witness will need to sign an affidavit in the notary’s presence which states that they attest that the principal’s signature is known to them and matches the one found on the signed instrument.
