Kansas Notarial Certificate – Verification Upon Oath or Affirmation

The Kansas verification upon oath or affirmation is a type of notarial certificate used for documents requiring notarization in the form of an oath or affirmation. Typically reserved for affidavits, an oath/affirmation (or jurat) requires each signing party to swear an oath (pledge invoking Supreme Being) or affirmation (pledge without invoking Supreme Being) before signing the document in the presence of the notary public.  The document is considered notarized once the notary completes the verification notary acknowledgement form, which is either part of or attached to the document in question.
